The North Fork Trail spotlights where to catch a fireworks display

Ooooh and aaaaah as pops of color and designs light up the sky. Here are six spots to check out a fireworks show on the North Fork this Fourth of July season. From carnivals to beaches to the racetrack, there’s a fireworks display planned for everyone.

  1. Riverhead Raceway 76th Year Celebration Flying Dutchman Tribute

    Friday, July 3, after the completion of the racing program

    Cost for admission: $30/adult, $20/children ages 6-12, Free for kids 5 and under. Cash only.

  2. Jamesport Fire Department Annual Bazaar Fireworks

    Saturday, July 18 at dark

    Location: Community Center Grounds

  3. July 4th Fireworks by the Town of Riverhead

    Saturday, July 4 at 9:30 p.m.

    Located at South Jamesport Beach. Fireworks display over Peconic Bay. 

  4. Peconic Bay Vineyards’ 5th Annual Firework Extravaganza

    Saturday, July 11, from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

    Location: Cutchogue. Family-friendly. Reservations required. Prices vary based on reservation type. 

  5. Greenport Fire Department Carnival Fireworks

    Thursday, July 2, and Saturday, July 4, at 10 p.m.

    Location: Polo Grounds, Moore’s Lane

  6. Orient Harbor Fireworks

    Friday, July 10 at 9:15 p.m.

    Viewing spots: Orient Causeway, Orient shoreline, Poquatuck Park
