Love it or loathe it, the season of the egg hunt is upon us! Whether you and your family only make it to one, or decide to spend these next two weeks charting your own egg hunt crawl across the North Fork, these events are a sure way to hop into early spring. Here are nearly 20 egg hunts, Easter Bunny Meet-and-Greets, and themed events planned for the North Fork that children, from tiny to tween, are welcome to enjoy.

2026 Orient Beach State Park Spring Egg Hunt
Egg hunts and children’s activities
When: Saturday, March 28, at 11 a.m., rain date March 29, at 1 p.m.
Where: Orient Beach State Park, Orient
Cost: FREE for all activities, but an $8 vehicle admission fee may apply for the State Park.

Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Mattituck Park District and the Mattituck Chamber
Egg hunts for ages 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9+, games, photo booth, pictures with the Easter Bunny, prizes

10th Annual Greenport Egg Roll Children’s Egg Hunt at Mitchell Park
Egg hunt for children ages 2-4 and 5-8, free carousel rides 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., magic show at 10:30 a.m.

6th Annual Easter Chocolate Egg Hunt hosted by Chef Úrsula XVII of Disset Chocolate
Explore the North Fork in search of five hand-crafted chocolate egg sculptures hidden throughout participating businesses. Follow the clues that will be released on Instagram on Friday, March 27. Once a sculpture is found, participants are encouraged to snap a photo and post it on Instagram using #17ChocolateEggHunt. Those who capture and share all of the hidden eggs will be entered to win one of Chef Úrsula XVII’s signature chocolate creations.
When: The 2026 hunt will run Friday, March 27, through Easter, Sunday, April 5.
Where: Hidden throughout participating businesses across the North Fork.
