Turtleback Summer Program, two Mattituck locations, varies by week
DETAILS: A nature-based environmental education program held exclusively outdoors that incorporates conservation projects, sports, art, and cultural studies, and is offered to children ages 5-12 (with exceptions). Peconic Community Summer, Cutchogue
DETAILS: Eight weeks of nature-centered, project-based, and arts-infused summer experiences thoughtfully crafted to inspire young minds through hands-on, project-based learning infused with the arts. Learn more and register here.

DATES: 8 weeks, June 29 - August 21, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (aftercare available until 5 p.m. at an additional cost, half-day option available for children in Early Childhood)

Peconic Dunes Sea Adventurers Day Camp, Cedar Beach, Southold
DETAILS: At Peconic Dunes Sea Adventures camp, campers participate in a variety of marine science activities from coastal and wetlands explorations to marine life touch tanks to experiments and shark dissections. Campers also have the opportunity to kayak, paddle-board, beach comb, and enjoy water-based recreational activities and marine-themed arts and crafts. Campers enjoy a weekly trip to local places. New York Marine Rescue Center, Riverhead
DETAILS: Join the NYMRC team for a three-day-long immersive workshop exploring the world of rescue, rehabilitation, and release! You’ll complete hands-on projects, labs, lectures, and mock strandings, all resulting in the crowning of the newest Junior Marine Rescuers! Register here.
This workshop is open to students entering 6th-8th grade

Hallockville Museum Farm, Riverhead
DETAILS: Hallockville Museum Farm offers a unique day camp experience for ages 5-12 unlike anything else on the East End. Hallockville’s inspirational setting will surround campers with 250 years of agricultural history!
Daily activities at Hallockville’s Farm Camp include circle time interactions with farm animals including cows, sheep, and chickens, farm chores, feeding animals, and themed projects and activities.

Long Island Aquarium, Riverhead
DETAILS: For toddlers (ages 2-3) to teens (ages 14-16), the Long Island Aquarium’s Adventure Days program adds interactive excitement to summer vacation.
Children ages 2-16 can explore the wonders of the marine environment through age-appropriate learning and activities. A Tour Boat adventure, close encounters with marine creatures, the chance to catch fish on a deserted island – just some of the fun for children 8 and younger. Older kids will collect and identify marine specimens on the Tour Boat, climb the rock wall, go canoeing and kayaking, take a Shark Dive and Snorkel Adventure, and more!

Breezy Hill Nature Camp, Peconic
DETAILS: Breezy Hill Nature Camp is a small, nature-based summer camp located at the beautiful Breeze Hill Farm & Preserve in Peconic. Designed especially for children ages 6-8, this camp offers hands-on outdoor experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

Naturally Speaking Language Enrichment Camp, Greenport
DETAILS: Discover the power of nature for language growth. Led by two speech-language pathologists, this camp combines outdoor exploration with therapeutic techniques to help children develop communication skills and build confidence. Through nature-based activities, children engage in a screen-free outdoor environment that fosters social connections, physical movement, and a deeper bond with nature.
