Wowza! Is it just us, or is this season flying by?! We’re not exactly sure how, but Christmastime is here. Whether you’re after a 12-foot stunner or a Charlie Brown special, the North Fork offers a plethora of places when it comes to picking your perfect Christmas tree. However, not all places hit the same when you’re tree hunting with the whole crew. Read on for our top family-friendly spots to get your Christmas tree this season on the North Fork. Merry, merry, friends!

Shamrock Tree Farm, Mattituck

All aboard at this Mattituck tree farm! Not only does this spot offer a nice selection of cut-your-own, pre-cut, and balled trees, it also features a lengthy train ride, a farmer’s market, a gift shop, live Christmas caroling, stone fire pits, snacks and treats, visits from Santa, and more. Shamrock Tree Farm is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Friday, November 28. Train rides and other activities are available on weekends only.

Woodside Orchards, Aquebogue

Tucked behind Woodside Orchard’s Aquebogue cider tasting room, an unassuming spot to select your North Fork Christmas tree awaits! Choose your pre-cut tree, then warm up fireside with your crew while noshing on fresh apple cider doughnuts and enjoying fresh and hard ciders. Open Thursday through Tuesday (except Thanksgiving) from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm, Cutchogue

Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm is the holiday season's adventure park. This Cutchogue tree farm is the destination for all things fun and festive. From picking out your tree, with the option to cut your own, to an afternoon of s’mores, pony rides, bounce houses, “ice" skating, visits with Santa, personalized ornaments, and more, you can easily spend a whole day there with your kid crew. However, it’s important to note that while the indoor Christmas shop is open daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., the outdoor activities are only available on Friday through Sunday. Visit Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm’s Instagram page for updates and the Santa visit schedule.

Zuhoski Farms, Cutchogue

At Zuhoski Farms, kids can nosh on fresh popcorn and hot chocolate while you’re busy sawing down your u-cut tree among 15 acres of u-cut trees. Then, warm up together fireside, or challenge each other to a field goal kick-off. Zuhoski Farms is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. The farm also sells pre-cut trees, balled trees, natural decor, and holiday decorations, and Santa will be visiting from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on November 28 through November 30, December 6 and 7, and on December 13.
