Sang Lee Children's Summer Workshop: Young Foragers

  • Sang Lee Farms 25180 County Road 48 Peconic, New York, 11958 United States (map)

In our Young Foragers workshop, we invite your imaginative children to join our youth educators Trish & Cara for a food-centered class amongst the farm fields, greenhouses, and orchard!

This is a perfect morning activity for curious children to experience the tastes, smells, sounds, and feel of our certified organic farm in a whole new way. They will explore the practice of growing food while having fun outdoors, interacting with nature, and getting crafty!

This workshop will start with a body and mind check-in that will set the tone for the day, bringing more joy and mindfulness into their experience on the farm and beyond! In this workshop, students will go on an adventure through our fields and greenhouses, learning about and experiencing the fruiting crops, beehives, and tractors! Using foraged herbs and vegetables that are abundant, students will use their own paper to take home. In addition, students will enjoy a freshly foraged salad made up of edible weeds, vegetables, and herbs, allowing them to see the magic in even the most overlooked plants!

*Must be at least entering Kindergarten in the fall and be OK without parents for the 2 hours!

$80/child, ages 4-8
