Dia De Los Muertos Celebration

Join Turtleback Environmental Education Center and others to celebrate Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead to honor this beautiful holiday and the Monarch Butterfly.

This free bilingual family event includes face painting, crafts, a nature hike, and a wonderful puppet show about Monarch migration and its cultural significance.

Discover how you can help migrating Monarch Butterflies and take home a goldenrod to plant in your garden. This is a collaborative event run by Sonia Spar, the Town of Southold's Spanish Community Relations Specialist, Jennifer Murray of Turtleback EEC, and Carmen Campos of Puppeted. The location of the second annual Dia de los Muertos event is to be announced.
